So I decided to try something new and write a book review for someone who reached out to me on Instagram. Her name is Livy Jarmusch (@livylynnglittergirl), and her new book is titled The Coronation. It is available on both Amazon and Good Reads. She contacted me back in June, telling me of the title of her new book, and I immediately thought of a setting of when monarchies had lots of power, like in medieval or 17th century settings in Europe. I was surprised to find the book takes place in a modern-day, yet fictional setting of Tarsurella, and I really think the setting helps the reader to better relate to the characters. I was also pleasantly surprised to find how God-centered the book is. It's not everyday one can find an intriguing and relatable fiction book that fully incorporates Christianity. Another bonus about her book is that the main characters are all described in the beginning of the book. It seemed to be overwhelming at first, but it turned out to be very helpful in differentiating between the characters since the story is structured around a family of eight children. Overall, it was a good read, and I would recommend to teen and tween girls as a fun read. Lastly, the quote is taken from two characters, Bridget and Liam, and how they learned to forgive others who had wronged and taken advantage of them. That quote can apply to anyone in practically any situation. Forgiving is super important and easily overlooked, and it really helps the person who was wronged to heal.
